SUMMARY:Musical Storytime for Preschoolers at the North Tillamook Library
DESCRIPTION:Musical Storytime\, a hands-on activity for preschoolers\, will
  be offered at 10:00am Monday\, February 10th at the North Tillamook Libra
 ry in Manzanita.\nThe free readings\, for children ages 3 to 5\, will feat
 ure live percussion accompaniment by North Oregon Coast Symphony musician 
 Carol Shepherd. This month’s story is “Tanka Tanka Skunk\,” by Steve
  Webb. It is a tale of best friends\, an elephant and skunk\, who beat out
  the name of their various friends with drums. With colorful illustrations
  and repetitive rhythms preschoolers will love to participate in this fun 
 story.\nAfter the reading\, children will be able to play a variety of per
 cussion instruments and learn about drums\, the tambourine\, and rhythm st
 icks as Shepherd demonstrates her instruments.\nSimilar events are being p
 lanned monthly in partnership between The North Oregon Coast Symphony\, No
