SUMMARY:Musical Storytime at the Seaside Library
DESCRIPTION:Musical Storytime is a hands-on free outreach program for presc
 hoolers. The program will be held Wednesday\, November 12th at 10:30am at 
 the Seaside Library Community Room in Seaside. This free program will feat
 ure a live percussion accompaniment by North Oregon Coast Symphony musicia
 n Carol Shepherd. The story Tanka Tanka Skunk\, is a tale of best friends\
 , an elephant and skunk\, who beat out the name of their various friends w
 ith drums. With colorful illustrations and repetitive rhythms preschoolers
  will love to participate in this fun story. After hearing the story child
 ren can experiment with playing their own rhythms on provided percussion i
 nstruments.\nThe free readings for children ages 2 to 5 are planned monthl
 y in partnership between The North Oregon Coast Symphony\, North Tillamook
  Library in Manzanita\, Seaside Library\, and Astoria Library. For more in
