SUMMARY:Musical Storytime at the Liberty Theater
DESCRIPTION:Giraffes Can’t Dance! This delightful story by Giles Andreae 
 and Guy Parker-Rees is the focus of the North Oregon Coast Symphony’s Ma
 y Musical Storytime outreach program. This is a free hands-on activity for
  preschoolers. The story time will be Thursday\, May 22nd at 10:00am in th
 e McTavish Room at the Liberty Theatre. The outreach program\, for childre
 n ages 2 to 5\, will feature live accompaniment by flute\, percussion\, an
 d brass players.\nGiraffes Can’t Dance is a joyful tale about finding yo
 ur own rhythm\, inspiration\, and confidence. With vibrant illustrations a
 nd captivating rhythm\, children will be swaying\, stomping\, and smiling 
 from start to finish.\nAfter the reading each musician will explain a bit 
 more about their respective instrument and demonstrate playing them. Then 
 children will have the opportunity to play some different instruments.\nTh
 ese events are planned monthly in partnership between North Oregon Coast S
 ymphony\, North Tillamook Library and Astoria\nLibrary. For more informati
