DESCRIPTION:Celebrate the Astoria Column’s 100th anniversary—and the ar
 tistry and ingenuity behind its amazing murals—with a behind-the-scenes 
 look at their preservation. The Clatsop County Historical Society invites 
 the community to “Restoring Pusterla: The Story Behind the Astoria Colum
 n Murals\,” a free\, one-night Thursday Night Talks (TNT) lecture featur
 ing restoration lead John Goodenberger on May 21st at Fort George’s Love
 ll Showroom.\nGoodenberger\, on-site manager for the 2015 Astoria Column r
 estoration\, will share how conservators protected and recreated sections 
 of Attilio Pusterla’s artwork after decades of wind\, rain\, and salt ai
 r—helping ensure future generations can continue to experience this land
 mark as it was meant to be seen.\nBe part of the Astoria Column centennial
  celebration at Fort George Brewery’s Lovell Showroom (14th &amp\; Duane
 \, Astoria) on May 21st\, 2026. Doors open at 6:00pm\, with the talk begin
 ning at 7:00pm Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available\, a
