DESCRIPTION:In this hands-on workshop\, students will build a thoughtfully 
 designed ceramic jewelry case using slab construction techniques. The focu
 s will be on creating a functional piece with multiple compartments to org
 anize rings\, earrings\, and small treasures\, while maintaining a cohesiv
 e\, elegant form.\nThe class will explore ways to introduce flowing lines 
 and soft curves into the structure\, transforming a simple organizer into 
 a dynamic\, sculptural object. Time will also be dedicated to underglaze a
 pplication\, allowing for personalized color and surface design.\nStudents
  will leave class with their jewelry cases ready for drying and firing\; f
 inished pieces will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks late
 r.
