The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce is hosting The “Hook the Hawg” Salmon Derby. This is a three day fishing event, however anyone can fish one, two or all three days. The Chamber booth will be open each morning between 7am and 10am to answer questions. You must register on line at info@wahkiakum.us before 10am the morning you plan to fish. Weigh-in will be each day between 2pm-5pm. Thursday and Friday will have a $100.00 (Adult) & $50.00 (Youth) cash prize winner for the largest salmon. Saturday we will present the top 10% (Min of 3 placings) in both categories with the remaining prize money. Please note that All salmon must be gilled and gutted before weigh-in.
