SUMMARY:Garden Volunteers Needed at Lewis and Clark National Park
DESCRIPTION:The Lewis and Clark National Historical Park is currently recru
 iting volunteers for its new Volunteer Garden Corp.\nThe Volunteer Garden 
 Corps will meet weekly on Thursdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm starting on Thur
 sday\, May 15th. During meetings\, volunteers will help NPS staff with mai
 ntaining our park display gardens. Volunteer activities will likely includ
 e invasive plant removal\, pruning\, watering\, seed collecting\, and atte
 nding other gardening needs. Certain sessions will also feature educationa
 l opportunities from local partners with lessons on garden tool upkeep\, n
 ative plant identification\, foraging\, and other related topics. Voluntee
 rs do not need any previous experience in gardening to participate\, and t
 hey do not need to attend every meeting to sign up.\nVolunteers who are in
 terested in joining can visit volunteer.gov and search Lewis and Clark N
 ational Historical Park to see our current opportunities and hit “Apply 
 Now” to sign up. They can also attend a meeting\, and we will have Volun
 teer Agreement forms on site. If any prospective volunteers have questions
