DESCRIPTION:Participants will use basic printmaking techniques including mo
 notypes and relief\, using found and organic subject matter\, to explore t
 he world around them. They will leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of art th
 at tells a story about the time and place it was created.\nKati Simek (the
 y/them\, she/her) is an artist and administrator based in Seattle. They st
 udied experimental photographic processes at Temple University while earni
 ng a BA in Film and Media Arts\, and they hold an MFA in Arts Leadership f
 rom Seattle University. Kati’s art’s practice is grounded in environme
 ntal justice and themes of relationships and community\, and their process
  often incorporates found and repurposed materials.
