SUMMARY:Drypoint and Chinne Collé with Tallmadge Doyle
DESCRIPTION:Talmadge Doyle is a Eugene based artist who is having her first
  show at Astoria's Riversea Gallery opening February 14th.  She will also
  be teaching a class as a visiting artist at Pier 11 Studio.  This coinci
 des with her show themed with the Fisher Poet's Gathering in mind. \nChin
 e Colle is a technique using Asian papers with wheat paste to simultaneous
 ly print and paste the cotton base sheet of paper with Gampi paper on the 
 etching press. We will begin with drypoint\, drawing directly into plexigl
 ass plates using a drypoint tool to create line\, texture and value.\nWe w
 ill combine Chine Colle with drypoint to add another layer of depth and in
 terest.\nThis is a fast paced workshop where participants are encouraged t
 o bring drawing ideas to experiment with.  Many examples of drypoint and 
 chine colle prints will be shown as examples to show the range of possibil
 ities for these simple but versatile techniques.\nExperience is welcome bu
 t not needed. All levels will be challenged.\nMore information on the clas
