DESCRIPTION:Join us for our December TNT (Thursday Night Talk) presentation
  by historian Rex Ziak\, who will unravel the dramatic and often misunders
 tood story of Lewis and Clark’s arrival at the Pacific Ocean in 1805. Dr
 awing from the explorers’ own journals\, Ziak will guide the audience th
 rough their thirty-day ordeal near the mouth of the Columbia River\, highl
 ighting the ten days the party was marooned on Tongue Point and their freq
 uent forays between present-day Warrenton and the John Day River.\nRex Zia
 k\, an acclaimed historian and Emmy-winning cinematographer\, is best know
 n for his groundbreaking work on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. His book 
 In Full View transformed America’s understanding of the explorers’ fin
 al journey along the Columbia River and inspired the creation of the Lewis
  and Clark National Historical Park. Beyond history\, Ziak co-founded OBON
  SOCIETY\, a humanitarian effort returning World War II artifacts to famil
 ies in Japan\, blending scholarship\, storytelling\, and global outreach i
 nto a remarkable career.\nThe event is free and held at Fort George Brewer
 y’s Lovell Showroom (14th &amp\; Duane\, Astoria). Doors open at 6:00pm\
