DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, you’ll bring clay to life by sculpting whi
 msical little heads\, each bursting with personality and charm\, using onl
 y minimal tools. Feeling lonely? Don’t worry—your new expressive clay 
 friends will keep you company and bring a smile to your face! Open to all 
 experience levels\, this class is the perfect way to create cheerful compa
 nions with your own hands.\nSophie Kendall is a North American artist spec
 ializing in drawing\, painting\, and clay/found object sculptures. Her wor
 k explores intimacy\, humor\, and community\, often using three-dimensiona
 l clay features to animate idiosyncratic yet relatable ceramic vessels. So
 phie was trained in art through her family’s artistic heritage\, Waldorf
  Education\, and a BFA from Lewis and Clark College in Portland\, Oregon. 
 She also studied art in Spain\, Bolivia\, and Peru. Originally from Ann Ar
 bor\, Michigan\, Sophie now resides in Portland and has shown her work in 
 online exhibitions and at Capizzo Studio Art gallery in Saugatuck\, Michig
 an. She recently completed a Master’s in Social Work and loves working w
 ith people creatively\, integrating her passion for art and human connecti
 on into all areas of her practice.
