DESCRIPTION:Join us Saturday\, February 7th at 1:00pm for a story time with
  children’s author Fern Wexler\, who will read from their book Families 
 of a Feather.  Let’s explore the bird kingdom and celebrate family dive
 rsity and inclusion. “Families can look different\, but are all based in
  love.”\nStay for Valentines crafting and make a special card for your o
 wn family! Best for ages 0-8\, but all ages – parents\, grandparents\, a
 nd older siblings – are always welcome to listen and craft.\nA beautiful
 ly illustrated picture book\, Families of a Feather celebrates and shares 
 the diversity of family structures by exploring a variety of bird families
  and the many ways they care for and raise their young. The book includes 
 a short field guide.\nFern Wexler is a writer and wildlife photographer fr
 om Portland. They are a dedicated naturalist and birdwatcher\, with a pass
 ion for helping kids experience nature. Winner of the 2020 Audubon Youth L
 eadership Award\, Fern volunteers at the Bird Alliance of Oregon\, teachin
 g others to appreciate the world around them.
