DESCRIPTION:Deadline for submissions to the Cannon Beach Library's Writers 
 Read Celebration is January 31st.\nA rising tide lifts all boats\, and for
  the Writers Read Celebration\, writers will find themselves floating idea
 s focusing on this year’s theme: “Rising Tide.”\nIn its seventh year
 \, Writers Read offers writers of all ages from everywhere the opportunity
  to write on a specific theme. All unpublished written formats will be con
 sidered (essay\, story\, science fiction\, poetry\, haiku\, script\, etc.)
 . The deadline for submissions is January 31st.\nThe theme “Rising Tide\
 ,” could flow in myriad directions: anticipation of change in a person
 ’s life\, relationship or community. It could signal an approaching floo
 d or tsunami. Maybe it brings opportunity\, promise\, social justice. Or\,
  perhaps the tide rises just before a fall.\nWrite whatever floats your bo
 at.\nA panel of volunteers will select 10 to 12 works to be read by their 
 authors during the Writers Read Celebration on March 7th in person at the 
 library or via Zoom.\nAuthors are limited to three entries with a 600-word
  maximum per entry.\nSubmissions should be in Word format. Include a separ
 ate cover letter with the writer’s name\, email and phone number. Please
  do not include the author’s name or contact information on the entry do
 cument so authors remain anonymous to the reading panel.\nEntrants should 
 email submissions to info@cannonbeachlibrary.org.\nThe NW Authors Series C
 ommittee sponsors monthly author presentations and other events at the Can
 non Beach Library. A recording of last year’s Writers Read Celebration i
