Caesar the No Drama Llama is one of a kind–about the chilliest, most peaceful, loving llama you’ll ever meet.
You’ll get the chance to hang with Caesar in Cannon Beach on Sunday, November 28th, in celebration of the release of an eponymous new children’s book, illustrated by local artist Bee Dugan.
A hang session with Caesar—including perhaps some hugs, pets, or a photo—can be moving. Caesar loves people and his effect is tangible. He’s a true therapy animal who makes appearances throughout the state and regularly visits care homes, public gatherings and more. Caesar’s sweet, mellow vibes really rub off on the people around him.
Those vibes were certainly felt by Cannon Beach artist Bee Dugan. After discovering Caesar, Dugan—an illustrator—proposed a picture book to Caesar’s pal, the proprietor of the Mystic Llama Farm, Larry McCool.
McCool, who has shepherded Caesar into something of a regional celebrity—with some 40,000+ followers online—was onboard, keen to share Caesar’s message of tolerance and temperance to a wider audience.
And, two years later, voila!
“Caesar the No Drama Llama” is available worldwide, in both hard and soft cover.
“This book is for everyone,” Dugan told the Salem Reporter. “But I think in a special sense it’s for people who function a bit differently and might feel like and oddball.”
Join Caesar, Dugan and McCool for a release party and meet and greet at 2PM on Sunday, November 28th at Tolovana Hall in Cannon Beach. There’ll be books for sale, a Llama to pet and artists to chat with. It’s free!
Tolovana Hall is located at 3379 S. Hemlock in Cannon Beach.
