The Astoria High School Athletic Hall of Fame will proudly be presenting the “Class of 2023” induction class in a ceremony on February 18th! The ceremony, and accompanying luncheon, will be held at Astoria High School.
Since the first induction class in 1997, there have been 108 individual inductees, 34 teams, 16 coaches, and ten contributors inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The 15th class of the Astoria High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be recognizing two individuals, one team (of combined years), two coaches, and one contributor: Scott Atwood, Augie Norgaard, the 1989 and 1990 Girls’ Golf Teams, Bob Ellsberg, Dave Gasser, and Englund Marine.
The induction ceremony, and luncheon, will be held in the Commons and Auditorium at Astoria High School. The doors will open at noon. Please enter the school via the doors that open from the parking lot to the hallway at the rear of the auditorium. Lunch will be served in the commons at 12:30p.m. The induction ceremony will commence thereafter, in the auditorium. The induction/luncheon is open to the public. The fee for the lunch is $20 per person. We ask that individuals “pre-pay” for their lunch at the A.H.S. Office (Ph: 503-325-3911. Hours: 7:30a-3:30p).
Please note: The last day to purchase lunch tickets will be Friday, February 10th (for the “head count” of the caterers).
Please join us as we recognize the tremendous accomplishments of these special inductees. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions. Thank you!! Dan Foss (Committee Member) Ph: 503-791-7221
