On Saturday October 17th beginning at 2:00pm the Seaside Public Library will welcome Astoria resident and 20+ year AI practitioner Temese Szalai in the Community Room for a program titled, “AI for Everyone: Understand It. Use It.” This will be a 90-minute community-focused AI literacy program designed to build participants’ confidence in understanding and using AI. This presentation will cover the fundamentals of how AI works and address important considerations when using it.
There will be an introduction on practical techniques that work across AI tools and illustrate them during an interactive demo using different tools for some common tasks. The session will provide plenty of time for questions and discussion throughout the workshop. The goal of this workshop is for community members to walk away more knowledgeable about AI. Participants will learn what AI means, how it works, and get practical guidance on how and when to use it all while having a chance to ask questions and engage in lively discussion.
