DESCRIPTION:Astoria High School Theatre presents "You Can't Take It With Yo
 u." Performances take place at 6:30pm November 7th\, 13th\, and 14th\, wit
 h Saturday matinees at 2:00pm on Nov. 8th and 15th. Doors open 30 minutes 
 prior to showtime.\nIn "You Can't Take It With You\," a Pulitzer prize-win
 ning play by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber\, a snake enthusiast\, a py
 rotechnician\, a confectioner\, and a xylophonist are among the many quirk
 y members of the Sycamore family who live in the perfect artists' haven\, 
 flooded by creative projects. Anyone with a passion to create is welcome i
 n their lively home. However\, Alice\, the youngest daughter\, seems to ha
 ve bypassed the creative madness and sees her family as forgetful\, errati
 c\, and distracted. She fears her family's absurdities will ruin her chanc
 es at a "normal" life\, especially as she finds herself falling for the so
 n of a prominent Wall Street businessman. Whimsy and tradition collide in 
 "You Can’t Take It With You\," a madcap comedy that asks us to question
